§ 10-26. Expiration of license

  • (a) Each permit shall expire on the anniversary date of the original application, and may be renewed only by making application as provided in section 10-22. Application for renewal should be made at least 60 days before the expiration date. When the application is made less than the suggested number of days before the expiration date, the expiration of the permit will not be affected.

    (b) When the city denies renewal of a permit, the applicant shall not be issued a permit for one year from the date of denial. If, subsequent to denial, the city finds that the basis for denial of the renewal permit has been corrected or abated, the applicant may be granted a permit if at least 90 days have elapsed since the date of the denial. The denial shall contain the reason(s) for the denial and shall be sent to the applicant at the address shown on the application form by certified mail, return receipt requested.
