Acceptance of formal offers for the dedication of streets, public areas, easements
or parks shall be by authorization of the city council. The approval by the city council
of a preliminary or final plat shall not, in and of itself, be deemed to constitute
or imply the acceptance by the city of any street, public area, easement or park shown
on the plat. The city may require the plat to be endorsed with appropriate notes to
this effect.
