§ 8-32. Mechanical code adopted
(a) The city hereby adopts the 2006 Edition of the International Mechanical Code, a publication of the International Code Council, including all the appendices of such code, and designates such publication as the "Mechanical Code of the City of Granite Shoals," subject to the deletions, additions, and amendments prescribed in this section.
(b) The term "City of Granite Shoals" shall be inserted in every blank in the code referring to the name of the jurisdiction.
(c) The city hereby amends the following sections of the International Mechanical Code in their entirety to read as follows:
Section 108.4 Violation penalties. Any person found to violate a provision of this code or fails to comply with any of the requirements thereof or who erects, installs, alters or repairs mechanical work in violation of the approved construction documents or directive of the building official, or of a permit or certificate issued under the provisions of this code, shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, shall be subject to a fine not to exceed $2,000.00. Each day that a violation continues after due notice has been served shall be deemed a separate offense. The penalty herein provided shall be cumulative and not exclusive of any other rights or remedies the city may have.
