§ 40-22. Violation, penalties and fines
(a) Any person found to be violating this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, is subject to a fine as provided by section 1-10 of this Code.
(b) Other remedies. In case any building or structure is erected, constructed, reconstructed, altered, repaired, converted or maintained, or any building, structure or land is used in violation of this chapter, the appropriate authorities of the city, in addition to other remedies, may institute appropriate action or proceedings to prevent such unlawful erection, construction, reconstruction, alteration, conversion, maintenance, or use, to correct or abate such violation, or to prevent the occupancy of such building, structure or land.
(c) Any person found to be violating this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, is subject to a fine as provided by section 1-10 of this Code.
