§ 4-2. Penalty

  • (a) Any person found to be violating this chapter is guilty of a misdemeanor and, upon conviction, is subject to a fine as provided by section 1-10 of this Code.

    (b) Any person found guilty of committing more than three violations of the provisions of this chapter within 12 consecutive months of the first violation, is subject to having that person's license to own, keep, harbor or have custody of any dog or cat revoked immediately, that person's ownership of any dog or cat escheated to the city, the dogs or cats disposed of in a humane manner, and no new or other license shall be issued to that person for a period of one year.
