§ 4-5. Adoption of state law provisions relating to dogs that attack persons or are a danger to persons and dangerous dogs

The city hereby adopts V.T.C.A., Health and Safety Code §§ 822.001—822.007, dogs that attack persons or are a danger to persons, and V.T.C.A., Health and Safety Code §§ 822.041—822.047, dangerous dogs, as amended, and adopts the standards and regulations adopted and incorporated into this chapter as minimum standards; provided, however, that to the extent that this chapter provides standards that are compatible with those standards and are equal to, or more stringent than, the act or the standards and regulations provided under state statute or adopted by the state board of health, this chapter prevails over the act and the standards and regulations.
