§ 6-21. Use of airport restricted

  • (a) The airport is a public facility owned and operated by the city for the specific use of aviation activities. At no time shall the airport and its adjacent area be used for walking, jogging, or bicycling, or radio-controlled aircraft activities.

    (b) The airport is available for use at all times (24 hours a day, seven days a week).

    (c) The runway lights may be turned on and off manually by a switch located on the east wall of the hangar located on the southwest corner of the airport.

    (d) The runway lights may be pilot operated from the airplane radio set for 122.85 KHz with three clicks on the microphone switch. The lights will stay on for 15 minutes.

    (e) Touch and go landings are discouraged, and are only permitted by owners/residents of the city in their aircraft.
