§ 6-25. Fire regulations

  • (a) Every person going upon or using the airport or its facilities in any manner shall exercise care and caution to prevent fires.

    (b) Smoking or open flame within 50 feet of any aircraft is prohibited.

    (c) Compressed inflammable gas shall not be kept or stored at the airport, except in places designated by the airport manager.

    (d) No flammable substance shall be used in cleaning engines or other parts of an aircraft inside a hangar without adequate ventilation and the approval of the airport manager.

    (e) Hangar entrances shall be kept clear at all times.

    (f) The floors in all hangars shall be kept clean and free from oil. Volatile, flammable substances shall not be used for cleaning floors.

    (g) Fire extinguishers approved by the city fire department shall be available in all hangars.
